About

Cameron is an American painter born in Columbus, Ohio in 1995. Cameron graduated from Swarthmore College studying Computer Science and Mathematics before pursuing a formal training in academic drawing and painting, enrolling in the Florence Academy of Art in 2021. Upon his graduation in 2024, he was selected as a Graduate in Residence where he also studied etching under Daniel Graves.

The philosophy of Cameron's work is rooted in working from life, using intense observation in order to better connect with nature. Close investigation of a subject can reveal its essence, and its relationship to the human experience. Cameron hopes to further develop his own understanding of nature in a way that can others can connect to and see themselves in his work.

Cameron has exhibited his works in Europe and the US, and now lives and works in Florence as a Principal Instructor at the Florence Academy where he hopes to continue the realist tradition in painting and etching.
